Safety & Environment Compliances and Audits
Review plans to improve safety and environmental performance drawn up by individual brewery teams and provide feedback; consolidate to develop the master plan/calendar for the Safety and Environment department.
Drive adherence to all safety- and environment-related statutory compliances (e.g., pollution control, hazardous waste, water usage, energy, and air quality) across all breweries.
Prepare internal and external annual safety and environment audit plans. Guide all stakeholders for corrective and preventive action plans basis the outcome.
Safety & Environment Policies and Procedures
Continually review EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies to ensure alignment with evolving statutory requirements and global sustainability standards.
Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to design and Implement environmental protection policies for waste management, water conservation, emission control, and effective operation of ETP and STP systems.
Guide teams to contextualize and apply environmental standards including pollution prevention, waste segregation, green operations, and optimal ETP/STP management across all breweries.
Guide local teams to ensure compliance with environmental reporting norms, maintain documentation for audits and statutory inspections, and proactively communicate with the Pollution Control Board (PCB) and other regulatory authorities as suitable.
Personal Protective Equipment Planning & Budgeting
Guide annual expenditure for Safety and Environment initiatives, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for Safety Infra creation, PPE usage, audits, training, and sustainability programs, etc.
Periodically review budget utilization and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Prepare and present budget performance reports, highlighting key metrics, risk
areas, and improvement plans.
Safety & Environment Education and Training
Lead identification of training gaps at HO and brewery levels based on specific Safety and Environment requirements for each location.
Prepare the annual training calendar for both safety and environmental programs. Drive the same across all locations through respective local leads.
Incident and Disaster Management
Maintain record of various matrix related to environment and safety using internal systems. Drive accurate recording of incidents on the shop floor; guide local teams to conduct root cause analysis and relevant CAPA.
Review RCA reports and CAPA submitted by brewery teams and provide technical guidance, as required
Lead horizontal deployment of incident and disaster management learnings across all breweries by circulating RCA reports, corrective action plans etc.
Lead development of the disaster recovery and site emergency plans, as required.
